This photograph was taken shortly after dawn on a magical foggy morning in Venice, Italy. The fog was a thick shroud hugging everything. It even changed the way the city sounded, softening and cushioning the noises. You could hear peoples footsteps often before being able to see them through the fog. It didn't seem to bother the resident pigeons on St. Marks Square who were able to glide through the fog as effortlessly as ever.
